Niari, poss valley type or E Zim.
Coll HT c 1932? and prob. loaned by him to a museum, whence it was later recovered. No other info.
From ILAM's Instrument Inventory:
Bell-shaped body, dirty whitish wood, brown colour.
H: 19.0, W: at bottom 16.4.
25 keys incl. 9 in top rank, most keys decorated at top.
Rectangular bar held with wire. No rattle plate, holding wire remains.
Sena/Nyungwe. Mozambique.
Bell type bodies are usually made of a soft wood like this, to allow the hollow to be excavated..
